If you are a reader of my blog you will know that my last post was about Korean Skin care and how the elaborate steps work. After reading all this stuff I went ahead got a bunch of products to try out – I was itching for it!
In this process I read through multiple blogs and sites to understand my skin’s needs and what products will be good for me. One of the first few full-sized products I purchased is the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power liquid which I will be reviewing today. This is mainly an acid which will gently exfoliate your skin to remove blackheads, acne and clean pores.
Initially, I was concerned that most of the reviews of this product were from the non-Indian skin type and I did not find even one India based review of the product.
What if it did not work for me or worse made my skin react badly?? :O
However I was so impressed by the results/reviews by other bloggers that I HAD to try this product. Fingers-crossed 😛 Continue reading →
Its summer time and I have my family visiting the lovely n cool Bangalore city (not so cool right now). I am always looking for ways to keep everyone occupied and have a few really fun, easy to do and light on the pocket ideas!
Have a Picnic! 🙂
Yes, while it is hot outside, parks normally have huge trees which provide adequate shade for you to lay out your blanket and sandwiches. Enjoy the day playing outdoor games with your family! I went to the Lal Baug Botanical gardens yesterday and it was one of the most refreshing things I have done in a long time… You can take some simple sandwiches n salads, Refreshing Summer Salad! play a few outdoor games and try your hand at photography.
Getting up in the morning to go to work is already difficult and selecting an outfit a task by itself! While we see great combinations created in magazines I have found they are sometimes over the top and do not reflect the actual lifestyle of people! I have a few must-have outfit separates that help me mix n match quickly and create different looks everyday!
Scarves can used in many ways to oomph up working women look to a chic professional look. With the additional benefit of acting as a barrier to protect us from the sun to making you look slimmer n taller if used correctly, a scarf has many benefits.
When I come home from work the only thing I want to do is relax, but as a single person who has to eat, I have to cook it. I have a few tried and tested quick fixes for a light dinner or snack which are a combination of mom’s cooking and my innovation. These recipes serve one person (me), increase ingredients as you require. Try them and let me know what you think.. 🙂

Ever had to deal with a difficult work situation? I know, I have. In professional life competition is tough and it is survival of the smartest. I work in the IT industry where the pressure is high and impeccable quality is in low supply hence time and again I have seen difficult situations aka escalations (IT lingo) and have wished if there were a few ways in which I could handle the crisis better, so I put together a list.
Here are 5 ways to deal with situations which seem out of control –
Keep Calm! I could quote many an instance where a situation could be saved if one of the parties had kept his cool and thought over the next steps instead of hyper-ventilating. Taking deep breaths is a sure shot mechanism of calming those nerves. I have my own crazy way..I listen to the sound of rain on my music player. Find your own calming mechanism.
The Indian summer is here, even the beautiful cool Bangalore is hot and dry. Here are my top 5 quick tips to keep it cool since I have spent most of my life in the tropical (hot and humid) beach city of Goa!
The unavoidable – Drink lots of water or fresh fruit juice! Avoid avoid avoid hot beverages, colas, drinks with preservatives etc. I love watermelon juice and lemon soda from the local vendor…Yum
Fresh juices are right for you!
Sunscreen baby – Slather on a good quality sunscreen, for Indian summer SPF 25 and above should do. Repeat coverage every 3-4 hours. My personal favorite is Lotus Herbal 3 in 1 SPF 50…
Never miss the sunscreen!
Monitor the sun – Weird? Hell no, don’t leave the house between 12 noon to 4p.m. if you can manage it. The sun is harshest at this time!
Avoid direct sun…
Cottons & Linens – Light & breathable fabrics keep your mind and body cool. Besides there are so many beautiful options to choose from. If you live in a city where there is not much variety in clothing options; buy online! Easy…
Keep it light..
Lose those long tresses – Did you know that hair grows back?? Yes? Ok! Get a cute pixie cut or layers if you want to keep your length but want to lose the extra weight. Also layers make you look younger and chic(er)! Yippee! I am gonna get myself some layers and a fringe… 🙂
Layers it is!

I have been thinking of penning my thoughts on paper for a long time. Many times when I have felt that this one momentary observation of the life around me is going to change life forever… it never does because I either forget the thought or never action on it. Mostly forget the thought. Pretty embarrassing for an earth shattering thought moment. Imagine if Eisenstein forgot what he said “Eureka” for on the way home!
So this is a compilation of earth shattering to not even a wisp of air kind of thoughts, ideas, life events, hopes, aspirations and so on…
